A sewer scope is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line (Building Sewer) from the house, at or near the foundation, to the City Tap, HOA Tap, or Septic Tank. A sewer scope inspection involves accessing the building sewer from a cleanout or roof vent and evaluating its condition with a sewer inspection camera system. |

Why Add-on a Sewer Scope Inspection?
Your sewer line is out of sight, out of mind, and we assume it's working as it should until it's not. Discovering defects in your sewer line could cost thousands to repair. Without scoping the line there is no way of knowing what might be jammed, growing, or broken in your sewer line. Don't assume, prove it with a sewer scope.

What will a Sewer Scope Show You?
- Water Flow. Is the line flowing?
- Are there issues with the line? Roots / Cracks / Damage / Offsets / Blockages / Debris or Lint Build-up
- Do you have defective drain line materials?
- Have there been previous repairs or cleaning?
- Where the issues are located on your property. Do you have to dig in the yard, under walks, drive, or street?
- At any rate you will have an understanding of how to maintain your line to ensure a flowing drain.
How Much Does a Sewer Scope Inspection Cost?
The cost to add-on a sewer scope inspection with your certified home inspection is $175.00.
Adding a sewer scope to your home inspection adds about 1-Hour of additional time to your home inspection process. For this reason, scheduling a morning inspection timeslot would be preferred when booking your home and sewer inspections.
Just so you know. If you schedule your home inspection without a sewer scope but decide on the day of inspection you would now like to add-on that service there's a chance I may not be able to scope that day. Due to the extra time needed, the seller or my schedule might not accommodate it. A trip fee may be added to the sewer scope cost to complete at a different date & time.
