Is your home Dry?

Inspecting For Hidden Moisture

hammer home inspections
How does it help your inspection?
Over the years your home will develop stains, scuffs, and smells. But not all those stains and smells are normal wear and tear as your home ages. Some are caused by an underlining issue. Moisture! Moisture is the root of evil to a home. Moisture intrusion can cause hundreds even thousands of dollars to repair or replace the damage left behind. Finding that moisture before it becomes a problem is where I can help.
When do I use moisture meters on your inspection?
I bring a few different moisture meters with me to every home inspection so I can help detect hidden moisture. I use these meters on every inspection to confirm if materials are in fact wet or dry. I test along the foundation walls to help confirm a dry basement. I can probe into basement carpets to determine if they are holding moisture. I also spot test any questionable ceiling stains or areas of discolor. Whenever there is the question; "is it dry or wet", I can help confirm with accurate results.

Dry to the touch but only a meter can confirm there is elevated moisture levels.

extra Peace of Mind during a rainy day

Why do I use moisture meters on your inspection?
To provide you with that extra peace of mind. There are a number of finished areas and walls that make up a home. And guess what, we can't see through or behind them. Using today's high-tech devices allows me to provide you with more and accurate information. I can't predict future issues but I can help identify and confirm current or past issues.
